Down talk look really carefully at what ever they try to do in life and find fault with it point out how good Johnny the kid next store is or how much better Susie looks then your daughter . Don't forget to tell them they are stupid and their is nothing they can do around the house that you won't have to redo . Point out how the other parents have children who get better grades .

Up talk think they are to young to know what their strenghts and weekness are and they are not old enough for you to figure it out either .Don't say they cannot do anything fair to think it but don't verbilize it . Let them learn at their own pace unless they need your help you will know if you are needed . Then step in and help them learn how to  do it themselves .

Once they know how to do something some children never forget it others do how ever .

Summer swimming programs ran by parks and Y. W. C. A. are great for children to learnhow to swim. Start them early age to or before with a parent they can be taught to swim . If they are older start them anyway it is better to knowabout swimming then it is to drown .
