Power outages in Ohio pg78

Alot of the states schools are cancelled and people are sitting in dark homes . Some without even water . I personally was only without power for 24 hours my brother with he's crippled wife who cannot walk has been without power and is still without power .

We did he's laundry for him . He has had to eat every meal in a restraunt . He works to jobs to keep up with he's bills and has only missed one day of work . he has a home health aid for he's wife her life alert no longer works because their is no way to charge it every thing that is in he's refrigerator will have to be thrown out .

She sits at home with just a flash light I hope and pray they are able to fix he's power today . All of the food in he's refrigerator is ruined we are doing he's laundry . You don't know how hard our day to day struggle can become without electricity .

I don't feel real good my self I had a head injury about a week agao I feel a little down so I called my doctor for some antibodics he called me in a prescription it is helping some .

Some people south of us are only getting bottled water from their fire station others are beeing asked to conserve . You see no water sprinklers running anywhere.

People are going to get one another food neighbors are buying something extra for neighborsa who live alone .

I have not been to the store yet I see lines everywhere for gas it seems to take a while to buy gas here .

My brother was able to get out and buy one before they sold out of them I had one and told him about them when he called me . Batteries are in short supply so My brother Johnny's wife may have to be in the dark by herself.

I have heard people from cincinatti are coming up to dayton to buy batteries because they are still without power I am sure it is worse in Texas .

Ike damaged a lot of the inter structure of the country but you don't hear it much on t.v. they say it might take another week for power to get on in some areas they have come within blocks of my brothers place but still haven't to my knowledge restored he's electricity .

I have a pretty good size tree branch down on what I think is a cable cord . I am to old to move it my back is bad .

We have had all kinds of people out working on trees you see people up tall latters family members helping to hold up the latter while tree branches are trimed by non experienced tree people .

Are heroes because they are out their under trees that may collapse working on wires . Trying to restore power to the people . The tree trimmers are heroes to they are working long hours . But their are people telling people they will be back to trim trees and they don't show up the T.V. is saying only pay when your trees are trimmed .

If you can get a professionaol person to try your trees or do tree removal they are insured in case of accident and they know what they are doing they have special equiptment and they know how to use it .
