America in Crisis pg 84

Our country is in the worse time it has had since the great depression. More people are out of work and more people are expected to lose their jobs . We need help congress and the senate are trying to pass legislation

Before the last depression their was no signs of congress bailing out our country now our country wants congress to bail them out what will this mean to our economy . It is suppose to help keep the banks open .Roosevelt gave the money to the people living in our country in the form of jobs. Our country created lots of jobs for people to work . These jobs brought money to the country that was spent the more money people spent the more money put out into the economy and the more jobs that were created .

Can we trust these people to make more jobs for people to work . What I think is happening a lot of people will lose their retirement money and will have to work till they die no easy retirement everyone knows social security doesn't pay us top retire anymore and without peoples life saving those planing on retiring will have to work past retirement .

They say this bill they turned down yesterday had extra money in it we don't need to be paying for extra things people want this bill is high enough . I wonder if we should bail out wall street at all this will put the government more in charge of how money works in our country then at anytime since our constitution was formed .

This bail out doesn't say people have to have a down payment a rather large one to be able to buy a house . People who cannot finacialy afford a house shouldn't be given a house they won't be able to keep.

I don't understand any of this I wish I did I talk to other people and they don't understand it either I just know people hide monet in there houses after the great depression because they didn't trust banks .
